Flying for fun in the UK's only CAA Approved Powered Parachute

Training is performed in line the CAA and BMAA Powered Parachute Training Syllabus and using a fully CAA qualified and registered instructor. There are two types of Licence. With and With out Operational limitations.

NPPL(M) - Powered Parachute (with Operational Limitations):
A new pilot needs a minimum of 4 hours flight training plus 1 hours solo flight time under the supervision of a licensed instructor. A total of 5 hours minimum.
During this training time you will complete 25 take offs and landings and pass a a General Skills test. The limitations of this licence type are:
- No Passenger may be carried
- Wind Speed 10kt or less
- Cloud base 1000ft above ground level.
- Visibility not less than 10Km
- No flight more than 8 nautical miles from the take off site.
Typical costs vary from £1,000 to £1,950 depending on ability and application.

NPPL(M) - Powered Parachutes (without Operational Limitations):
A new pilot needs a minimum of 15 hours flight training plus 6 hours solo flight time under the supervision of a licensed instructor. During this training time you will complete 25 take offs and landings and pass a General Skills test and complete navigation training. We recommend getting a licence with operational limitations and removing the restrictions as a later step. This will save you money.

Conversion or Differences Training:
The required training can be done in a couple of days. Typical costs vary between £500 and £1,000 depandant upon ability and application.

All training takes place at Melton Mowbray Leicestershire and follows the BMAA's dual training syllabus. Although some training can take place at Boston Aerodrome.
